It's important to remember these truths, especially in times when external voices attempt to convince us otherwise. Growing up, I wish someone had told me more often that it's okay to be different, that my uniqueness is my strength. I wish I knew earlier that my worth is not defined by societal standards, but by the content of my character, my integrity, and my actions. In today's climate, it's easy to feel drained, overwhelmed, and frustrated. But remember, you have the power to change your narrative. You have the ability to shape your reality and create a life that resonates with your true self. Know that it's okay to take care of yourself, to prioritize your mental health, and to set boundaries. Self-care is not selfish; it's necessary. It's okay to say no, to rest, to recharge, and to ask for help when you need it. Remember, your voice matters. Use it to speak your truth, to stand up for what you believe in, and to advocate for yourself and others. Your words can inspire change, spark conversations, and make a difference. Finally, uplift each other. Empower those around you. Celebrate their achievements, support them in their struggles, and encourage their dreams. Together, we are stronger. Together, we can overcome anything. So, to every black woman reading this, know that you are seen, you are valued, and you are loved. Continue to shine your light brightly, for it illuminates the way for others. You are not alone in this journey, and your story is a testament to your strength and resilience. Keep being you, keep striving, and keep shining. Your presence is powerful, your potential is limitless, and your journey is inspiring. With much love and admiration, Ayesha Giselle Dornelly
